MIRJAM WIRZ
Fotógrafa, artista e investigadora nacida en Suiza. Residió en Lituania (2001-2009) y México (2010-2018). Actualmente reside en Colombia.
Estudió fotografía y transdisciplinaridad en la Universidad de Arte en Zurich/Suiza. Organizadora del proyecto Flash Bar/Flash Institut en Vilnius/Lituania. Desde hace 2010 ha investigado la cumbia en México, Colombia y Perú. Es editora y autora de la serie de publicaciones Sonidero City sobre la cumbia mexicana y del libro Sobre el Río (Passage), una investigación a lo largo del bajo río Magdalena en Colombia, en busca de los orígenes de la cumbia –y del proyecto editorial Los Cuadernos Verdes de los Montes de María.
Trabaja como editora de fotografía independiente y traductora.

Studies of photography and transdisciplinarity at the Zurich University of Arts. She was the organizer of Flash Bar and Flash Institut in Vilnius/Lithuania. Since 2010 she has been researching cumbia music in Mexico, Colombia and Peru. She is the editor and author of the publication series Sonidero City on Mexican cumbia and of the book Sobre el Río (Passage), a research along the lower Magdalena river in Colombia, in search of the origins of cumbia music –and of the publications series Los Cuadernos Verdes de los Montes de María.
She works freelance as a photo editor and translator.
